Join us for ChEW’s Peer Learning Programme (PLP), a unique opportunity that brings together experienced evaluation professionals from the third sector to provide a space for reflection, learning, and personal development. The PLP is tailored to those who are passionate about building a culture of effective evidence and impact practice within their organisations.

Designed for: Experienced professionals in the third sector who manage evaluation teams and/or lead evaluation functions.

Duration: January 2026 - May 2026

Format: Five half-day interactive online sessions with ongoing peer support and learning activities between sessions.

Session dates are now confirmed for:

Thursday 29 January

Thursday 26 February

Thursday 26 March

Thursday 23 April

Thursday 21 May

The PLP includes five modules, with a central focus on building an impact and evidence culture within your organisation and developing your personal power to lead this. The five modules are:

  • Introduction to the PLP – Getting to know each other, developing a shared safe space for learning and introducing peer learning tools and techniques.

  • Building an evaluation function - Making the case for evaluation, shaping an impact and evidence culture within your organisation and building evaluation capacity.

  • Self-leadership – Reflecting on individual evaluation career paths, areas of interest and personal growth. Exploring personal values and strengths, and enhancing confidence, resilience, and wellbeing. A personal development coach will be leading this session.

  • Leading others - Considerations and approaches for leading an evaluation team effectively.

  • Leading with impact – Communicating different types of evidence effectively, supporting others to use evidence, mastering influencing and storytelling, and harnessing personal power.

At the core of the PLP is creating space and time for you:

  • To reflect on your journey as an evaluator – both the challenges and successes.

  • To connect with new peers and share experiences

  • To find inspiration to take forward in your career

These interactive sessions will include a combination of knowledge sharing, peer discussion and activities, and external speakers who will share their personal evaluation experiences. Ongoing peer support and learning activities will take place between sessions.

After taking part, you will have:

  • A stronger peer network and space for reflection and shared learning

  • Increased capacity to lead and build an evaluation function within your organisation

  • Greater confidence, resilience, and wellbeing as an evaluation leader

  • Improved ability to communicate evidence, tell compelling stories, and influence change

  • Practical tools, frameworks, and insights to apply directly in your work
